These are the people I want to be like. I love my life, and I know I am right where God wants me to be, but if I got to be someone for just a day, I would choose to live one of these lives.
Bo Stern and She.ology. Top of my list has to be Bo Stern and She.ology. It is because of her conference titled SPEAKOLOGY that my website even exists. I saw Bo speak at my church several years ago and that changed my life. Besides showing by example how to endure an absolute battle, she also started my love of reading things written by Christian writers, Women of Faith and those types of events, and more recently led me to pursuing my calling to be a writer and a speaker. Somehow. Some way.
The Bucket List Family. Even my children want us to be this family. Well technically they said they wanted to be a part of this family. I’m not sure they were planning to take me with them. And who wouldn’t want to live with them? Even the very youngest in their family has more stamps in his passport than anyone in our family. Combined. This family shows what life is like when you decide to put experiences over stuff. While they do have a house in Hawaii now, a few years ago they sold everything to travel the world. We watch their videos (old and new) and wonder what it would be like to have breakfast with giraffes or swim with the whales.
Audrey Roloff. A local family. You may have seen them on Little People, Big World. When I first started pursuing a blog and website a friend told me I absolutely had to check out Audrey Roloff’s website, because she thought it was what I was striving to create as well. I love everything about it. I love her stories, her heart, her family. Check it out. You’ll see what I mean.
Jen Hatmaker. I think if I lived near her, we would actually be friends (which I am sure people tell her all the time). She gives a voice to so many of the thoughts that cross my mind. Her thoughts and experiences with her children leave me both teary eyed and rolling with laughter. Sometimes in the same paragraph. If you are a wife, mother, sister, woman, or just a breathing body, you will love her.
